In accordance with Illinois State Statutes, a board of 5 trustees governs MetroLINK. The mayors of the five principal municipalities within MetroLINK’s district boundaries appoint the trustees separately for a four-year term. The five municipalities include the Cities of East Moline, Moline, Rock Island, and Silvis, and the Village of Milan.

Meetings of the MetroLINK Board of Trustees are held at 1:00 pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at MetroLINK'S Administrative Office, 1515 River Drive, Moline, Illinois.


Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District Board of Trustees Meeting Notice of a Special Meeting for Strategic Planning on July 20, 2022. A special meeting of the MetroLINK Board of Trustees will be held at 5:00 p.m on July 20, 2022 at MetroLINK Centre Station in Moline, Illinois, all for the general purpose of a strategic planning exercise. The Board’s strategic planning exercise will be facilitated through discussion/presentations conducted or made by MetroLINK staff and industry related professionals. Topics to be covered include MetroLINK finances, safety and security, future capital improvements, transit service and revenues, customer service enhancements, and workforce planning and development. Board of Trustees meetings are open to the pubic in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act. An agenda will be made available prior to the Strategic Planning meeting in accordance with the Act. No action items will be on Agenda; and it is noted that numerous topics will qualify for executive/closed sessions to be conducted in accordance with the Act. The next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held as previously published unless otherwise modified in accordance with the Act.

**COVID-19 UPDATE - 06/28/2021

Modified Remote Attendance Protocol (updated from previous COVID‐19 Open Meeting Protocol)  

Public meetings governed by the Illinois Open Meetings Act will be conducted in accordance with this MetroLINK Modified Remote Attendance Protocol. This protocol broadens opportunity for public access, while respecting certain health‐based restrictions. Effective immediately, MetroLINK invites public participation through in‐person or live‐stream attendance. Instructions for meeting participation are available on MetroLINK’s website or by contacting MetroLINK’s administrative office at 309.786.2705. 

 As to in‐person attendees, requirements (including face coverages and social distancing) will be applied per guidance from the Transportation Security Administration and the Illinois Department of Public Health, as applicable.  

Each meeting will consist of in‐person attendance by at least three Trustees. Authorization exists to allow as many as two Trustees to participate remotely, subject to the procedures within MetroLINK Bylaws and the Illinois Open Meetings Act. During the course of each meeting, attendees are encouraged to promptly speak up (or call the number furnished in this Notice) if deficiencies in sound quality or signal delivery are detected.
