"Your Bike is Your Fare" May 15-19

Bettendorf Transit, Davenport CitiBus, and Metro are pleased to join forces again this year in support of QC cyclists by offering free rides to those who choose to “bike and bus” during Bike to Work Week, May 15 – 19, 2017.

Bike to Work Week, sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists, encourages people to discover the many benefits of bicycling as a transportation alternative. Whether commuting to work or school, running errands, or out for entertainment/relaxation, bicycling as transportation is a way to become more active, increase physical fitness, and release stress; it also promotes air quality, helps reduce wear and tear on local roads, and pairs great with public transit. Throughout the week in support, all fixed-route Bettendorf, Davenport, and Metro buses will honor your bike as your fare as bike rack space permits. All QC fixed-route buses are equipped with bicycle racks that can accommodate up to two (2) bicycles.

Visit individual systems at: (Bettendorf Transit), (Davenport CitiBus), and (Metro). Links to all Quad Cities transit systems (urban and rural) is available at .
